“7/7. Devotion”.
110 x 80 cm, acrylic and oil stick on fine paper, framed.
“Devotion” is the seventh and final piece in the black painting series "Emolution”, which delves into the transformation and evolution of emotions.
In my art, I explore my deepest emotions and suppressed experiences, revealing how they can manifest through visual expression. My aim is to defy standards, preserve the uniqueness and authenticity of internal meanings, and freely express the true essence within.
Each piece in the series chronicles the journey of evolving emotions, from confined and doubtful to a realization of self-worth and devotion. This seventh work “Devotion” completes the cycle, serving as a manifesto of self-devotion and inner creativity.
For over 12 years, I denied myself the joy of painting, despite a lifelong passion. Living in Bali, I learned the importance of following and expressing true desires.
My works reflect my authentic self and the creator within each of us — imperfect, sincere, sometimes rough, yet fragile and unique. A part that deserves to be expressed.
“Devotion” was created under the "Unchained" concept and have been exhibited solo two times in Bali.
